Our Naturalscapes, Our Hong Kong. Time Lapse

If you do not want to travel to the notoriously polluted and overdeveloped city, please forward and share this video. Let’s cherish the innate beauty of our country parks and stand up for our last pristine spaces.
Frankly, the idea of developing the country park land has been generated by Secretary for Development Paul Chan Mo-po since September. And so, last November, I have issued a time lapse video called “Our Naturalscapes, Our Hong Kong” and it has attracted a lot of public attention locally and internationally. I believe that more and more people would love our beautiful country parks.
However, with less than six months, one of the Lantau Development Advisory Committee member Franklin Lam Fan-keung stated on a TV program, “I don’t see there are many Hong Kong people going to the Lantau Country Parks. There are not even many trees. So, I doubt whether country parks are really the "back yard" of Hong Kong people.” At the same time, Kaizer Lau Ping-cheung who is also the member of Lantau Development Advisory Committee mentioned that Lantau Island is ripe for development. Hongkongers should “never say never" to the idea of developing Lantau Country Parks. He further suggested Hong Kong people traveling to Mainland China to relieve their stresses of city life even if there were no more country parks for relaxation in the future.
If the proposal of developing country park land is passed one day in the future, it is believed that other country parks in Hong Kong could not be spared. And the negative impact of overdeveloping could be clearly seen from Mainland China.
And that is why I make this video by compiling the new photos that I have taken at Hong Kong’s country parks. Through this video, it is hoped to let more and more people recognize the innate and natural beauty of Hong Kong’s country parks. They deserve our preservation not devastation.
Since 2014, I have started to take pictures at Hong Kong’s country parks in my free time for this time lapse video. The places appearing in the video are as follows, Tai Mo Shan Country Park, Lantau North Country Park and Lantau South Country Park.
This time lapse video is all taken by Canon EOS 6D. No motion control unit is used.
